Sacrament of Reconciliation
"The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love" (Psalm145:8) 

 Saturday:  4:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

Sunday:    11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., 

and by appointment.

Ten Commandments

  1.  I am the Lord Thy God. Thou shall not have strange gods before Me.

  2. Thou shall not take the Name of the Lord thy God in vain.

  3. Remember to keep holy the Lord's Day.

  4.  Honor thy father and thy mother.

  5.  Thou shall not kill.

  6. Thou shall not commit adultery.

  7. Thou shall not steal.

  8. Thou shall not bear false witness.

  9. Thou shall not covet thy neighbor's spouse

  10. Thou shall not covet thy neighbor's goods.

Act of Contrition

O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee and I detest all my sins because I dread the loss of Heaven and the pains of hell. But most of all, because they offend Thee, my God, Who art all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace, to confess my sins, to do penance and to amend my life. Amen

Sins crying to Heaven for Vengeance

  1. Willful murder.

  2. Sodomy.

  3. Oppression of the poor.

  4. Defrauding laborers of their wages.

 

Sins Against the Holy Spirit

  1. Presumption on God's Mercy

  2. Despair.

  3. Resisting an/or Attacking the known truth.

  4. Envy at another's spiritual good.

  5. Obstinacy in sin.

  6. Final impenitence.

The seven capital sins and their opposite virtues

  1. Pride - Humility.

  2. Avarice - Generosity.

  3. Lust - Self Control

  4. Anger - Meekness.

  5. Gluttony - Temperance.

  6. Envy - Brotherly Love.

  7. Sloth - Diligence.

The Two Greatest Commandments

I. You shall love the Lord your God with your whole heart, with your whole soul and with all your mind.

II. You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

Precepts of the Church

1. You shall attend Mass on Sundays and on Holy Days of Obligation and rest from servile labor.

2. You shall confess your sins at least once a year.

3. You shall receive the Sacraments of the Eucharist at least during the Easter Season.

4. You shall observe the days of fasting and abstinence established by the Church. 

5. You shall help to provide for the needs of the Church.

Nine ways of being an accessory to another's sin

  1. By counsel.

  2. By command.

  3. By consent.

  4. By provocation.

  5. By praise or flattery.

  6. By concealment.

  7. By partaking.

  8. By silence.

  9. By defense of the sinful action.
